Apples - Northern Spy
This item is not presently for sale, please check back when ordering is open.
The Northern Spy apple tree was first planted in the early 1800's in New York. Interesting to note, the Northern Spy apple was one of four apples honored by the US Postal Service in 2013 commemorating historic strains (also honored was Baldwin, Golden Delicious and Granny Smith). The inside white flesh of the Northern Spy is juicy, crisp and mildly sweet while the outside flesh is hardy and more crunchy than most. These apples can be rather large in size. Common uses for this apple are: desserts, pies, juice and cider, but is so delicious just to eat also! It does well in storage too. All our fruit is grown without any use of chemicals.
